School Closing Information

We understand that any change to the school schedule can be disruptive. The decision to close or early dismiss school due to inclement weather is made only when absolutely necessary to prioritize the safety of students and staff.

How are decisions made?

The superintendent closely monitors weather conditions and consults with the bus company throughout the day and evening before a potential closure. A decision is typically made by 5:00 AM and communicated through various channels.

Early Dismissal

If an early dismissal is necessary due to inclement weather, dismissal times are communicated by 11:30 AM whenever possible, with school releasing at 1:00 PM.

E-Learning Days

E-Learning Days are not currently utilized by the district.

We will notify parents, staff, and the community through a variety of channels:

• District and School Social Media Channels
• Email notifications and texts (if provided - update your Skylert settings in Skyward Family Access)
