Riverview Center Character Camp

The following is information on a summer camp program from Riverview Center:

Riverview Center is excited to announce our 2021 Character Strong Camps! These camps will be catered to kids Pre-K-5th Grade and hosted by our Carroll County and Jo Daviess County Abuse Preventionist’s Arianna and Liz!

We are excited to share that we will be using a program called PurposeFull People this summer and we focus on 10 traits (Courage, Respect, Perseverance, Gratitude, Honesty, Kindness, Empathy, Responsibility, Cooperation, Creativity). We will cover one topic each day with children and have fun learning new skills! We will be hosting our sessions this year VIRTUALLY to make sure all of our friends are able to join us for crafts, activities, and fun! All sessions are 100% FREE and we encourage you to send the attached flyer to parents and those that may have children entering Pre-K-5th grade.

Sessions are 5 days each per session per two grade levels;

Groups are prek, K-2, 3-5. Students are able to attend BOTH sessions (different topics) but are not required.

    • Session 1 : Pre-k: June 21st-25th
    • Session 2 : Pre-K: Grade June 28th-July 2nd
    • Session 1: K-2nd: Grade July 12th-16th
    • Session 2:  K-2nd: July 19th-23th
    • Session 1: 3rd-5th: August 2nd-6th
    • Session 2: 3rd/5th:  August 9th-13th

We will have toolkits filled with art/craft/information items for each student each week for pickup or drop off. Some fun activities we have planned include creating mini greenhouses, sending cards to everyday heroes, songs, meditation, and more!

If you have any questions or concerns we encourage you to reach out to Arianna Grant in Jo Daviess County. Registration is required and please email us for the registration paperwork!

We hope to see your students for Character Camp 2021!

Thank you,
Arianna and Liz
